These compression chipbreaker CNC router bits feature three flutes and break up the chips as they cut by including wide spaced serrations in the flutes. The serrations are staggered to leave a smooth face but can leave visual lines in some cases. The opposite shear design pulls both the top and bottom surfaces toward the middle of the sheet providing clean edges on both sides. These bits fall in between a rougher and a finisher spiral and are an excellent choice when higher CNC feed rates are required in hardwoods, plywood and dense materials. The 3 flute design can leave a smoother finish than a 2 flute bit.
