Edging and Dowell Trim Kit Accessory for M. Power CRB7 MK3 Router Base

This Edge and Dowell Trim Kit for use with the CRB7 MK3 router base allow you to flush trim hardwood, lippings and dowels in one routing pass.  The problems of flush trimming hardwood, Iron-on lippings and dowel heads are over.  The Edge and Dowel accessory for the CRB7 router base is the quickest and simplest solution for this tricky task.  Fitted in seconds, and incredibly quick and easy set-up and then you are on to making beautiful fault free finishes.

The most common problem when trimming the protruding head of a dowel or lipping is that the base of the router hits the dowel before the router cutter gets to is.  With this handy tool, the edge trim kit riser clips onto the underside of the CRB7 and acts as a 7mm platform giving greater router to work surface contact area and much more stability throughout the routing pass.

Get Consistent Cutter height...

The CRB7 Trim Kit Riser accessory maintains a consistent distance between the bottom of the cutter and the work surface.  When trying to route a flush dowel head, the router needs to be all but touching the surface.  Even the slightest variation in cutter height could cause the work surface to be inadvertently routed.  Damage at this point in the project could be very difficult to fix, as dowels are fitted after the wood is machined.  The CRB7 Trim Kit allows a single routing pass to flush the dowel head or edge lipping.

The Edge Trim Kit includes a bearing race and mounting post.  When fitted, this removes the need for visual guidance of the router along the path of the lipping.  The Tracer Bearing runs along the edge of the board keeping the cutter directly over the lipping and ensuring the routing pass flushes the lipping in one go.
