This 100% premium steel Self Centering Tap Wrench was designed and created by Northern Machining in Norfolk, New York. This is a one-of-a-kind American engineered tap wrench that never loses center because both jaws move simultaneously keeping a central position no matter what size tap is used. This handy USA made tool allows for a larger holding range of #0 - 1/2. The 5/16 centering stem fits most machines and the compact height allows you to switch from drill bits to tapping without having to raise/lower your drill press or milling machine. The smooth plain finish will never flake and it can be used in a spindle or chuck for machine-assisted hand tapping
