Really Good, Cheap Saw Blades

One of our suppliers bought 20,000 (that's right twenty thousand) of these blades for a pallet recycling company that then went out of business.  If you were stuck with 20,000 saw blades in today's economy you would sell them cheap and that is what they are doing.

These are 10 inch diameter by 40 tooth carbide tipped blades.  The bore is 5/8" (0.625" nominal and about 0.626" actual so you get an easy installation and a tight fit.)  The plate is 0.070" and the kerf is 0.104" so this could qualify as a thin kerf blade depending on how you look at it.   It is an ATB (Alternate Top Bevel) grind with a side clearance of about 0.006" so you get a nice smooth cut.

These blades were designed and built for pallet recycling.  They are way overbuilt for that application.  These blades are better than many blades sold for a lot more money.  They are excellent for recycling or demolition.  They will work beautifully for framing, decks and similar.

They won't do quite the job a $100 Freud or Forrest will do but they are an excellent general use blade.  They will give you long life and you can probably have them resharpened three or four times.    You can touch them up with a diamond hone successfully.

These blades are an honest, true ten inches in diameter so you get maximum speed on the cutting rim for easier, faster cutting.

The finish on these blades is incredibly good as you can tell by the reflection / refraction patterns.  There are generously sized expansion slots for true cutting at high speed.  The gullets are deep with straight, square sides so all the sawdust is carried out of the cut and there is no spillage in the cut.   This means cooler, cleaner, faster cutting.

The carbide tips are actually much thicker than you find on some big box stores.   The tips are the more expensive European style with the extra bevel on the bottom to merge into the slot while still allowing a greater tip thickness.  Thicker tips are stronger, wear longer and are more resistant to impact damage.

The brazing is nice and even and you can see by the flow onto the plate that the surface preparation was excellent.  The braze alloy color is consistent with higher temperature / high strength braze alloys.

Packaging

Each blade is individually sealed with protective coating (I smeared it a bit in the left picture so you could see it) then the tips are protected by a thick plastic sleeve.  After the coating and the plastic sleeve the blade is wrapped in a plastic bag and then each blade is individually packed in a sturdy cardboard box.
