Ultimate Compression Spiral Router Bits - 3/8" Dia, 1/2" Cut Length, 1/2" Shank, 3" Overall length, Whiteside UC5050
These Ultimate Carbide Compression Spiral bits are designed for CNC and ideal for routing plywood and MDF. Where most standard compression spirals push the chips to the center of the cut where the up-cut and down-cut spirals meet, the Ultimate compression bits have an upcut flute that extends into the shank for better chip evacuation. This unique design of the Ultimate Compression Spirals allows you to run them faster and cooler than standard Compression spirals, giving you longer tool life. The 3/8" cut diameter is optimal for sheet goods and can remove less material with lower horsepower than the 1/2" diameter bits.
Features:
- Dedicated cut length to match the material thickness
- improved chip evacuation with up-cut flute that extends into the shank
- Ultimate chip control allows the bit to cut more freely, run cooler and last longer.
- The Down-shear flute cuts a 45 deg chamfer. Position the depth to barely shave the top edge of the material or lower teh bit to cut up to a 1/16" chamfer.
- The 3/8" cut diameter removes less material with lower horsepower than the 1/2" diameter bits.
Whiteside Machine is regularly rated as #1 for cut quality and #1 for value by Fine Woodworking magazine.
