Carbon steel taps from Triumph are designed for hand tapping new holes or thread repair in existing holes. Choose the geometry that's right for your task:

• Bottom Taps - Used in blind holes to obtain maximum thread depth. 1-2 thread chamfer at end.
• Plug Taps - Used in either blind holes where bottom clearance is not an issue or thru holes. 3-5 thread chamfer at end.
• Taper Taps - For starting threads in tougher materials. 7-10 thread chamfer at end.

*Carbon steel taps are not recommended for use in automated machines.
