Thunder Taps - Straight Flute

ThunderTap® high speed steel taps from Triumph Twist Drill are designed for hand or machine tapping of new holes or thread repair in existing holes. Choose the geometry that's right for your task:

• Bottom Taps - Used in blind holes to obtain maximum thread depth. 1-2 thread chamfer at the tip.
• Plug Taps - Used in either blind holes where bottom clearance is not an issue or thru holes. 3-5 thread chamfer at the tip.
• Taper Taps - For starting threads in tougher materials. 7-10 thread chamfer at the tip.
