Brad Point Drill bits are primarily used for wood drilling applications.  Brad point drills feature a pointed tip that help grab the wood and offer better control while drilling.  The pronged ends grab the wood giving a more stable and secure hold during the drilling process, eliminating the need for a pilot drill.
