Nicrobraz Green Stop-Off Type I, 1 Kg. Aluminum Container is designed to protect metal surfaces from the flow of molten brazing filler metal or to prevent metal surfaces from adhering to each other during furnace, flux & torch, and molten-salt dip brazing of aluminum. Type I-

The solvent-based Type I materials are flammable and should be handled as such. Normal caution should be exercised in their use. They should only be used in well-ventilated areas. Use if there is a chance of oil on the surface from the shop air. Type I is much thinner than Type II. Generally has a better bond to the base metal surface after application. 

Uses:

*Used for a variety of industrial heat-resistant applications.

*Prevents the flow of molten metal into threads, holes, cast surfaces and finished surfaces.

*Can be used with almost any base metal, ferrous or non-ferrous. **except reactive metals such as titanium, zirconium and their alloys**

Removal:

Residue left over after the thermal process can be removed by-

*Vapor Blasting

*Grit Blasting

*Wire Brush

*Polishing

*Pickling
