I purchased the Saw to cut high temperature fire brick to repair the arch of my gas fired kiln. The Saw easily cuts through the bricks and stays on my cutting line. I used this saw to make about 10' to 15' total of cuts on fire bricks I got at Mennards. It was still cutting about as well at the end of the cuts as at the beginning. It's a good tool, worth the money. For the best cuts support the brick on both sides.

Q: I have a Quadra-fire Wood Stove. Will this Saw work with the Fire Bricks for Wood Stoves? (They seem pretty porous and I don't think they are Ceramic bricks - Tractor Supply sells them - I just need to cut them to size.)

A: Hello and thank you for contacting us. These fire brick saws are intended for fire bricks that are used in kiln stoves. A good rule of thumb is that if you can pretty easily stick a knife into the brick, then the fire brick saws will work well on the fire brick.
